A Practical Guide to Choosing a Gift for a New Home
Moving into a new home rarely happens in one clean moment. There may be keys, boxes, an unfinished table and a first evening that arrives before the room feels settled.
A useful housewarming gift does not need to complete the home. It only needs to acknowledge the moment clearly. Begin with how the gift will be used, what you know about the recipient and whether fragrance belongs in the space at all.
1. Begin with the moment
The first night in
For the first evening after the keys change hands, choose something simple enough to use without unpacking the whole room. A meal, a useful household object, flowers or a note can all mark the beginning.
